You can do pretty much what you like with your
result: create signatures with name added, extras or stats, websets.
This pointing hand is here to help you. You can drag and drop it and use it as a
marker to help with following the tutorial. Martine

Tubes of your choice, free or not, but the credit for
the tubes must be added to your tag. The 3 tubes I am using are © Caron
Vinson -
http://caronvinson.com. If you use the same tubes, you need a license that
you can get here:
CILM. And don't forget: you can only have one © on your tag. So no
mixing of artists!

Supplies
here.
You can download my E-Book which will let you work without being connected.
Open your supplies in PSP.
New image 600x600.
And save! Don't forget to save your work regularly by clicking on
. Fill with white. New layer. Choose a colour from your tube or
a paper to fill this layer. I used a light blue colour. Then apply Monti's
mask. Masks >New > From Image - OK. Then Masks > Invert. And finally Masks >
Delete. In PSP 8 and more recent versions of PSP, go to Layers > New Mask Layer
> From Image. OK. Then Delete.
Add a new layer and fill either with a
colour from your tube or a paper from the kit. I used a pale pink colour. And
now apply the second mask: Vix - Mask 26.
Draw a big white circle with
the Preset tool or use the circle I provide in the zipped file.
Position it using the Mover tool. We are going to add the text on a curve that
you see at the top. Add a layer and draw a new circle inside the white circle.
Choose Ellipse > Vector. Now grab the Text tool and click on the inside circle
right at the top until you see the A with a cross above and a semi circle under
. Click
and the Text window will open. Choose Lauren Script, size 20 -
Check Floating and antialias and type: I believe in
fairies. Click on OK! Selections > Deselect All and say yes when the little
window pops up.
On the Layer Palette, close the vector layer so as not to see the cirle. Your
text should be at the top, on a curve .
Add a new layer and move it
under the vector circle you drew. Open the vector circle layer again. Click on
Image > Flip. Grab the Text tool and click on the circle at the top until you
see the A
. Click
and the Text window will open. Leave everything as it is and click on OK! Selections >
Deselect All and say yes when the little window pops up.
On your layer palette, close the vector circle layer. You should see your text
at the top, it is upside down. Click on Images > Flip and Images > Mirror and
the text is now at the bottom, facing the right way and on a curve.
Let's
add the two dotted circles. You choose the Preset tool, colour blue or whatever
suits, and for the line, go for Dot with a line width of 3 and create as vector
with antialias checked. Draw the first circle as close to the edge of the white
circle as you can. Then do all the adjustements before clicking on your layer
palette to convert this border to a Raster layer. Then back on the white
circle. Click on Selections > Select All > Selections > Float > Selections> Modify
and contract by 40. Add a layer and fill with one of the papers: I used Paper 4
at 50%. And you can now draw the second dotted border right at the edge.
Let's add the frames. Select the square one: flower frame. Resize to 65%. Then
Image > Free >7 >Left and make sure that you don't have all layers checked. Duplicate
this layer and hit Image > Mirror to have your second frame. Apply an
Inner Bevel with these settings:
 |
If you like this Inner Bevel setting, save it as is, just give it a name so
you can recognize it!
Now add a Dropped Shadow: V & H= 2; O=50 & B=5.
Grab the Lasso or Freehand Selection tool - Point to point and draw a rectangle on the first
frame, a few pixels away from the edge. Add a layer and fill with one of the
papers. I used paper 5: scale 50% and angle of 29. Then added a new layer,
filled with white and lowered the opacity down to 65%. Keep the selection and
add your tube, resized to 72%, then Selections > Invert >hit Delete on your
keyboard. Move those three layers under the frame layer. Duplicate the two
layers: paper layer and white layer then Images > Mirror on both and position
under the second frame on the other side. Then use the Selections tool as before
to draw a rectangle a few pixels away from the edge of the frame, and add your
tube as before. Lower the opacity of these two tube layers down to 40%.
Add the main tube: lmine is resized to 72%. Add the same Dropped Shadow you have
used before..
Then add the elements, resized too, all on separate layers:
Flowers: Flower Border. Add the Inner Bevel and the Dropped Shadow. The two Flower Buttons son
the frame - see my tag above. Add the dropped Shadow. The two butterflies
resized.
If you want to resize your tag, do this now. First save your tag as is,
with all the layers. I then resized mine down to 80% with all layers checked.
Save this new image with a different name as you don't want to replace the
original in full size.
Add a layer and the Tubes credit using the
Pixelette font, size 6 and floating.
Add your name: I used A&S Cricket,
size 32 with 2 for the line width, with vector and antialias checked in two
shaed of blue Then I turned each letter to give them a different position and
direction.
To turn the letters, you click on the + sign you see next to the vector layer in
your Layer Palette, then right click on your name and choose Convert Text to
Curves > As Character Shapes. You will see another + next to your name, click on
it and you should now see all the letters of your name on individual layers. On
your Layer Palette, click on the first letter of youe name, then go to your
image and turn and postion the letter as you wish. Repeat for all the letters of
your name. When you are satisfied with the result, click on the vector layer ,
at the top, above your name and convert to a Raster Layer.r. Apply the Inner
Bevel and the Dropped Shadow as before.
Close the two butterfly layers
and merge visible all the other layers on your tag. Close this merged layer and
open the two butterfly layers. Merge visible. On your Layers Palette, click
on the butterflies and duplicate twice to have three butterfly layers in all.
Keep one of them opened and close the other two. Apply the DSB Flux filter>
Bright Noise. Intensity= 40 and choose Mix. OK. Close this layer and
open another butterfly layer. Re-pply the effect after clicking once on Mix.
Close this layer and open the third butterfly layer. Apply the effect, clicking
one more time on Mix.
Now duplicate your tag image so you have
three copies.
Then merge visible one layer tag and one layer
Butterflies.
You should have three layers.
Save as a PSP file and
open
Animation Shop. Click on the Wizards and add your three images. For the display
Time, enter 10.
Voilà! You are done!
