STEP 1

Open a new transparent image 620x450. Add a layer and fill with white.

STEP 2: Mask

Add a layer. Selections > Select all and copy paste MaeliaDesigns_Octopussgarden_papers (6).  Open the Insatiable Dreams Mask 598 mask. Masks > New > From image - OK. Then Masks > Delete. In PSP 8 and above, it's under Layers > New Mask Layer > From Image. OK then Delete.

Adjust > Sharpen


STEP 3: Elements and tube

Add a drop shadow on all the elements:

V = 1

O = 30

H = 1

B = 3


MaeliaDesigns_Octopussgaredn_elements (12) - 10% on the left.

MaeliaDesigns_Octopussgaredn_elements (14) - 12% on the extreme left.

MaeliaDesigns_Octopussgaredn_elements (10) - 10% on the left.

MaeliaDesigns_Octopussgaredn_elements (11) - 8% on the right.

MaeliaDesigns_Octopussgaredn_elements (23) - 15% on the right.

Tube - on the left so it looks like she is resting againt the stone.

Add a drop shadow on the tube:

V = -2

O = 40

H = 0

B = 3



STEP 4:  Credits and name

Credits: Choose a small font like Pixelette, in size 6, anti-alias off.
Name: Write your name with the 2 Peas Mister Giggles font, in black, size 48 or other and bold.
Apply Eye Candy 4000 > Gradient Glow



Same drop shadow that you used on the tube.

STEP 5: Animation layers
Fish1 : MaeliaDesigns_Octopussgarden_elements (3) - Image > Mirror. 5%

MaeliaDesigns_Octopussgarden_elements (2) - 7%

MaeliaDesigns_Octopussgarden_elements (4) - 7%

MaeliaDesigns_Octopussgarden_elements (5) - 2%


Close all layers except the fish ones and merge visible these 4 layers and name Fish1.

Apply a drop shadow to this layer:

V = 1

O = 30

H = 1

B = 3


Move it above the mask layer. Open all the other layers so you can see where to position the next lot of fish.

Fish2 : the first three fish at the same size. The MaeliaDesigns_Octopussgarden_elements (5) fish at 5%.
Move the first 3 fish a little bit to the right or to the left, rotate them left or right 10° to 20°, as you see fit.


Close all the layers except the 4 fish ones and merge visible these 4 layers and name Fish2.
Same drop shadow.
Make sure it is above the layer Fish1. Open all the other layers. It will help with the placing of the next 4 fish.

Fish3: the first 3 fish are the same size. The MaeliaDesigns_Octopussgarden_elements (5) fish is at 10%.
Move the first 3 fish a little bit to the right or to the left, rotate them left or right 10° to 20°, as you see fit. 


Close all the layers except the 4 fish ones and merge visible these 4 layers and name Fish3.
Same drop shadow.
Make sure it is above Fish2. Open all the other layers. It will help with the placing of the next 4 fish. 

Fish4: the first 3 fish are the same size. The MaeliaDesigns_Octopussgarden_elements (5) fish is at 15%.
Move the first 3 fish a little bit to the right or to the left, rotate them left or right 10° to 20°, as you see fit. 


Close all the layers except the 4 fish ones and merge visible these 4 layers and name Fish4.
Same drop shadow.
Make sure it is above Fish3. Open all the other layers. It will help with the placing of the next fish. 

Fish5: I only have 2 fish on this layer. The first one is the same size again and the MaeliaDesigns_Octopussgarden_elements (5) is at 20%.
Rotate the first fish if you want.


Close all the layers except the 2 fish ones and merge visible these 2 layers and name Fish5.
Same drop shadow.
Make sure it is above Fish4. Open all the other layers. It will help with the placing of the next fish.

Fish6: It's the MaeliaDesigns_Octopussgarden_elements (5) on its own at 25%.
This layer must be right at the top, above all the other layers, the tube, the other 5 layers of the fish animation.


Text: Click on the Preset Shape Tool and select one of the "callout" shapes to give a voice to your fish. Choose #20383C as your foreground and white for the background. Create as vector and anti-alias checked.
Draw your speech bubble.
Layers > Convert to raster Layer.
Click on the Text tool and enter the text of your choice. Font: 2 Peas Mister Giggles, Bold, Create as Vector with anti-alias on.
Merge visible those 3 layers. Name this merged layer Fish6.
Same drop shadow.
Close this layer. Open all the other layers except for the 6 Fish animation layers.

STEP 6: Animation in Animation Shop


Close the white background layer. Make sure that all the Fish animation layers are closed except the Fish1 layer. All the elements and tube layers must also be open.  
Merge visible the open layers.
Copy paste in Animation Shop.

Go back to PSP.
Click on Undo.
Close the Fish1 layer of the Fish animation and open the Fish2 layer.
Merge visible.
Copy paste in Animation Shop after the current frame.

Go back to PSP.
And repeat the same steps for each layer of the Fish animation.
There are 6 layers in all and you should have 6 frames in your animation in AS.

Go back to PSP one more time.
Click on Undo.
Make sure all 6 layers of the Fish animation are closed along with the white background. Merge visible all the open layers: the mask, elements and tube.
Copy paste in Animation Shop after the current frame

In Animation Shop, activate the first frame.
Edit > Select All.
Right click > Image Properties and enter 25 for the speed.
Then click on Frame 6 and enter 250 and after on Frame 7 and enter 200.

Click on View and check the animation and see if 40 as the speed suits you. If it does not, change it.

Click on Animation > Animation Properties > Canvas color - choose opaque and white. The background stays white when you do it this way.
File > Save As.
