The outline is in the zipped file
along with the other images you need to be able to colour it!
![]() You can download my E-Book which will let you work without being connected. ![]() Then open Paint Shop Pro. I advise you to zoom in as many times as you need to so you can see what you are doing better. Zoom in on the images in the zipped file too. Open the outline: MF_BearInBox_mf07.psp. Then Window > Duplicate. Best not to work on the original. So close it. Now click on the copy and save it as BiB1.psp. Make sure you are on the correct layer and then colour the lid with the bear and then, don't forget the shadows under the paws then change layer and colour the box.
That's it. Image is done! Save! I have added two cheeks and also some colour inside each ear. Add a layer for the cheeks and another one for the inside of the ears. For the cheeks, put a big red dot on each cheek with your paintbrush, size 5 or above. Then apply a Gaussian Blur at 2.00. Change layers and repeat this on the inner ear layer.
I decorated the background. You decide if you want to add a little pattern or not. If you do, add a layer before you start. Make sure you use a layer for the lid and then a different one for the box. Save your work as BiB1.psp. Then Window > Duplicate. Close your original image: BiB1 and move onto the copy. Save it as BiB2.psp. We will work on this one. First delete the Background layer right at the bottom, we don't need it. Then close the box layer and also the layer with the pattern on the box, if you have added a pattern. Merge visible the other layers and name this new layer Lid5. Close the Lid5 layer and open all the other layers. Merge visible these open layers and name the new merged layer Box5. Time to duplicate these two layers so we can create the final animation. Click on the Layer Palette. You have two layers: Box5 and Lid5. Right click on each layer and duplicate until you have four new copies of each. You will end up with ten layers, 5 of each. Name them as I did and arrange them exactly like mine.
Close all the layers except the two layers at the top: box5 and lid5. Merge visible and name BIB Image 5. Close this layer and open these two layers: box4 and lid4. Click on lid4 and move downwards by 8 pixels. I added one of the bear paws. Click on BIB Image 5 and select the paw. It's easy to do this with the Selection tool, uncheck anti-alias, and draw a rectangle around the paw. Then Edit > Copy > Edit > Paste as a new layer. Use the eraser to clean around the paw but keep the shadow. Then Layers > Arrange > Move Down as many times as you need to place the paw layer right above Box4. Merge visiblethese three layers and name BIB Image 4.
Close this layer and open these two layers: box3 and lid3. Move lid3 downwards by 18 pixels. Merge visible these two layers and name BIB Image 3. Close this layer and open these two layers: box2 and lid2. Click on lid2 and move downwards by 28 pixels. Use either the lasso tool or selections tool (uncheck anti-alias) and select the bear part.
Then click on the scissors. Merge visible these two layers. Name BIB Image 2. Close this layer and open these two layers: box1 and lid1. click on lid1 and move downwards by 38 pixels. Select and remove the bear. Merge visible the two layers and name BIB Image 1. Your animation is ready. Open all the layers, you should have 5 in all:
Save as a PSP file, all layers open. Animation 1. Open Animation shop. Click on the Animation Wizard. Choose Repeat indefinitely and for the Display time enter 22. You now have an animation with 5 frames. Click on the first frame then Edit > Select All and Edit> Copy then click on the last frame and Edit > Paste after Current Frame. Keep selected and click on Animation > Reverse Frames. You now have 10 frames. Click on Frame 6 (identical to Frame 5) and hit Delete. Then click on the last frame(identical to Frame 1) and Delete. Right click on the first frame > Frame Properties > Display time and enter 50. Click on Frame 5 > Frame Properties > Display time and enter 100. Here's my result:
