I drew this little scene and the fat lil' piggy. You must
alter the outline in any way but you can of course add what you want to it and
also animate.
![]() You can download my E-Book which will let you work without being connected. ![]() Then open Paint Shop Pro and my template: MF_Piggy_mf08. There are 6 layers: the first layer is the background so you can see beter what you are doing; the second and 44th layers are the grass; the 5th is the pig. The top layer is my credits. Make a copy of my template - Click on Shift + D and close the original. Save this copy and rename: my_piggy. Don't foget to save your work regularly. Click on ![]() Close the credit layer and alwyas check that you are on the correct layer when coloring. Zoom in as many times as needed for you to see clearly what you are doing. Don't forget to recolor the outline. To change the colours of the outline, I use the Color Replacer. The outline is always darker than the rest. To create your own color palettes, use this free program that you can download here: Lydia's Palette Maker Lil' Pig: Position yourself on the Pig layer - Close all the other layers. Start with the head. Choose 4 shades of pink or other color + white and one colour for the nostrils. Colour as I have done. Now zoom on the eyes and recolour. My eyes are brown. ![]()
Gate
Grass: Close all the layers except the two grass layers and merge visible. Color the outline with a dark green and fill with a lighter green. Selethe inside with your magic wand and add a layer. Then add a layer. Pick up the Airbrush tool ![]() ![]() Use these settings: Size=10; Hardness=10; Opacity=60; Step=10 et Density=60. Choose a very light shade of green then click with the Airbrush and make a light border along the edge of the grass on the left. You then choose a much darker shade of green than your grass and make a border on the right and add a few lines here and there in the middle. Don't foget the tufts of grass! ![]() We have selected so that when using the Airbrush we would not spray outside the grass area. We have added a layer because we are now going to apply a Gaussian effect to the colours added with the Airbrush. Click on Effects and apply a Gaussian Blur of 3.00 to 4.00 depending on the colours you have used. If the result does not suit, then click on Undo one or more times: ![]() and try agai! ![]() Merge visible these two layers. And keep selected. Now we are going to add some noise. I work with PSP 7 but I saved my work and opened a more recent version because I wanted to use the Monochrome option and it is not available in PSP 7 but there in all other versions of PSP. Click on Adjust > Add/ Remove Noise > Add Noise. Use these settings and click on OK. Deselect and ![]()
I then re-opened my work in PSP 7 to finish off. Make sure you are still on the grass layer and color the brow adge of the grass. I used a dark red for the edge and 6 shades of brown/ orange. ![]()
Open all your layers and save: ![]()
